The Opportunity

In the role of Senior Microsoft .NET Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of data and text mining, pattern recognition and information retrieval software in a Microsoft .NET environment using C#. And, you will participate in full product life cycle design of software and database architectures using leading edge technologies, assist with software requirements and evaluate software tools.

Examples of current projects include:

• Data fusion of multiple large databases to assist automated tracking and management of research grant portfolios;



• Elegant generation of marketing leads through derivation of social networks using text-mining algorithms applied to numerous large databases.



• Automated classification and routing of short and long messages using advanced text-mining and pattern-detection algorithms to support advanced decision support applications.

Creative Teamwork

At Discovery Logic, our specialty is developing custom software solutions to solve real-world business problems. As a member of one of our systems development teams (each team is generally between two to eight people), you will find stimulating work with very bright colleagues and plenty of opportunity to be creative.

Qualifications

• Expertise with C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, Windows Forms and SQL Server.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to work as part of a small agile development team.
• Experience in data mining, business intelligence and data visualization techniques is a plus.

Applicants must be eligible for a SECRET clearance. No travel is expected.
