Connecting the Dots
Discovery Logic's mission is to discover new knowledge and innovative ways of using that knowledge that is useful to our clients.

In dealing with very large databases, Discovery Logic applies algorithms and code to extract, transform and load data - activities known as ETL. Advanced techniques allow Discovery Logic to explore a database, tease out the communication networks within it and use that network to make full use of the data across multiple databases. As this process of “connecting the dots” proceeds, the power and value of the knowledge grows.

Discovery Logic, of course, is not alone in its interest in scientific databases, which have been maintained for many years by many diverse organizations. However, Discovery Logic has achieved a unique understanding of how to reveal the communication pathways within the databases and, most importantly, how to connect these pathways to those in other databases. To achieve this, we have implemented algorithms that can “see through” the structure of a database to reveal and access the data within. It then becomes possible to link information between sources, even if the databases were built, designed or mapped for different purposes by different organizations.
